Tips to travel with your partner
You and your couple may be the perfect partner at home, but that does not mean your travel style will fit. Fodors.com recently asked the members of his Forum (Fodors.com / forums), especially who like to travel around the world, for a variety of stories about traveling with the couple.
For some, the experience does not always bring a touch of fresh air. Some people express their frustration at the reluctance to be active partners in planning the trip. Others claimed they felt a dramatic disappointment for things trivial. Some travelers share the lessons of the things they experienced, including their unique strategies for dealing with the points that are difficult with their partner.
1. Remind the couple that this journey is not a business trip. “I can travel around the world and not feel …. We try to finish the sentence, and my husband can catch the message! He often international business travel and family travel completely different!” -Cmeyer54
2. Do not get lost. “I often feel stressed because I was the map reader and navigator, while the husband drove. This causes us to fight more than anything else. But now we’re using GPS and it changed everything!” -Bettyk
3. Find time for a walk alone. “We’ve found a great way to avoid boredom after 24 hours of togetherness. Be sure to schedule a separate trip on a regular basis, doing the things you love all afternoon or evening. This talk will provide materials and reduce the pressure.” -Nytraveler
4. Recognizing the power of your partner. “He made the paper work and we did not lose any one moment, and I highly appreciate it because we can make better decisions.” -Kate
5. Resolving fights before they happen. “It took a long time for us to communicate confidential and the sanctity of our peace treaty … we vow to have fun during the holidays! How we do it: we discuss in the beginning, before leaving, the things that usually cause a fight. We finish before that happen. ” -Melissa5
6. Stomach should be full. “Hunger is very dangerous, we learned to not delay eating” after the museum was “or” we Arriving later in Malaga “because it was very, very bad.” -Gruezi
7. Remains optimistic despite the inconvenience. “I think it’s easy to understand that people might feel upset due to overheating, not sure of the purpose, was hungry for 2 hours, or even longer and who knows what else that may occur, though this list could go on forever. We feel everything and I was almost crazy. But as they often travel far and long, I learned to enjoy our time together and that it was no comparison with what will we see whether or not we see, what and when are we going to eat, when we will arrive at its destination — for his wife was in the side. ” -Mian11224
8. Let the little things pass. “I think we are much less fighting over the holidays, even though we spend more time together, because we feel happy to be there. We used to feel the thrill of” woo hoo, we’re on holidays “and ignore the things that might bother us at home . ” -Tcreath
9. Always find a cure for disappointment. “If you do not have time to visit a museum, there are others on the road. If you are wrong turn you can find another way to get there. If you order something you do not like, just order something else again. If you do not see there are advantages to doing this trip, plan to return. ” -Loris
10. Take the world as lovers. “Actually, I find that we almost never fight or disagree to each other when we were traveling. Maybe it was because we were away from all the stress that could cause differences between us. It’s kind of syndrome ‘we both against the world’”. -Royal
